I'm in the investment industry. I'm not an expert. I consider myself a very good stock picker and I do make money trading stocks. I also invest for a couple of close friends. If I were you reading this, I would see this as an idea generator and not a suggestion as to what to invest in. Look at the names, research them extensively and make your own decisions. I should point out that I consider myself a very agressive investor and I trade around positions fairly frequently and use options extensively. Almost all of my personal purchases are in event driven names with short time horizons - less than 4 months. I look for stocks with a minimum upside of 25% in the next 4 months and I want much more than 25%. If I think the upside is only 25%, I will use leverage to increase that. The 5 stocks I list on my blog are names that I am either currently invested in or would recommend highly. The top 3 will always be names I am personally holding. I will try not to include names that are very short term trades, because things change rapidly in the world of stocks and my opinion may change daily or even hourly on a short term trade.
